New Meadowlands Jewish Community Center

Rebuilding Jewish Life in the Meadowlands

Thank you for scanning our QR code and taking a moment to learn more about what is being built here.

For more than 100 years, this property has been a place of Jewish prayer, learning, celebration, kindness, and community. Today, we are rebuilding for the next generation — creating a welcoming Jewish center that will serve families, children, seniors, veterans, visitors, and neighbors throughout the Meadowlands and South Bergen County.

The new Meadowlands Jewish Community Center will be more than a building. It will be a home for Jewish life.

What We Are Building

Our new center is being designed as a warm, modern, and welcoming space for the entire community.

It will include:

A Synagogue
A synagogue is a Jewish house of prayer, learning, and gathering. It is where people come together for services, holidays, life-cycle events, classes, support, and community.

A Mikvah
A mikvah is a sacred Jewish ritual bath used for spiritual renewal and important moments in Jewish life. It is one of the most meaningful and ancient institutions in Jewish tradition.

A Hebrew School and Youth Center
A place where children can learn about Jewish values, holidays, Hebrew, history, identity, and pride in a joyful and meaningful way.

A Community Hall
A space for celebrations, lectures, holiday programs, family events, meals, and community gatherings.

A Gym and Activity Space
A place for youth programs, fitness, sports, community events, and healthy connection.

A Veterans and Leadership Program
As part of our mission, we are creating programs that support veterans, servicemembers, families, and emerging leaders through community, education, and meaningful connection.

Why This Matters

Jewish life is built around community.

It is built around welcoming the stranger, honoring tradition, helping those in need, celebrating together, mourning together, learning together, and making sure that every person has a place to belong.

This center will help ensure that Jewish life in the Meadowlands continues to grow, serve, and shine for the next 100 years.

Whether someone is deeply involved in Jewish life, just beginning to explore their roots, visiting the area, new to the community, or simply looking for a place of warmth and meaning — our doors will be open.

A Place for Everyone

The Meadowlands Jewish Community Center will serve:

Families looking for Jewish connection
Children learning about their heritage
Seniors seeking community and tradition
Young adults searching for meaning and belonging
Veterans and servicemembers looking for support
Visitors attending local events and games
Neighbors who want to understand Jewish life
Anyone who needs a welcoming place to pray, learn, celebrate, or connect

No background is required. No membership is required to walk through the door. Just come as you are.
